Setting up a ladder for the rooftop tent for the first time can sometimes be tricky. To make it as easy as possible for you we have a short instruction video:
In a nutshell:
Step 1: When the rooftop tent is folded closed, the ladder acts as a lever, pull the ladder out fully. Then your leverage is the greatest and it takes the least force to unfold the tent.
Step 2: Once the tent is unfolded, it is important to adjust the ladder to the correct height. Leaving the ladder fully extended, angle it as much as possible.
Step 3: To get the ladder to the right height, use the black "buttons" under the steps. These allow you to retract parts of the ladder.
Step 4: It is important to slide the ladder so that only the top steps are retracted when adjusting the ladder. Set the ladder at the desired angle and when sliding it in, make sure you hear the 'click'. This means that the ladder is secure.
Step 5: Check that the ladder is properly retracted by applying some force to the steps.
